95+ Points, Gary Walsh – TWF, Tip Top Tipple – “As is Montestefano, a little more sullen and brooding in the glass. Liquorice, dark cherry, spice, wild perfume and earthy bass notes. Full bodied, dense and throaty, a distinct ferrous tannin character in with a mix of red and black fruits, acidity is fresh and clear, the finish rolls on very nicely, with a slight smokiness and tobacco perfume. I’ve rated the Montefico a little higher, and yet, this is the wine I like better: it speaks my language, as it were.” Drink 2021-2035+
