2015 André Colonge et Fils Fleurie "Maranvières"

A single parcel in Fleurie cru only released in exceptional years, this is the domaine's homage to the great reds of burgundy - and there's more than a touch of Pinot about this wine.  Delicious already but many years left in the tank too.

93 Points James Suckling (Stuart Pigott) - "An impressive mature Beaujolais that shows what these wines can do if the vineyards are well managed and the winemaking good. Still plenty of amarena cherry fruit, but also a slew of savory and smoky aromas. The ample tannins are now very well integrated, powering the long, texturally complex finish"
