Grown on vines (mostly) planted in 1963. A Yarra Valley pioneer with an impeccable reputation for quality.
It’s at the sexy end of Yarra cabernet – arguably why I love it. Powerful kirsch and chewed tobacco, tar and blueberries, its elegance maintained throughout but a fair amount of weight and ripeness to it too. This can be drunk young, though of course it will age. Quite beautiful. Lengthy, savoury, ripe.
