2020 Monchiero Dolcetto d'Alba

From 70 year old vines in Treiso (Barbaresco) raised in stainless, it is very lively and whilst drinking beautifully already will also reward cellaring.  A precursor of the wonderful 2020 growing season.

92+ Points, Gary Walsh (TWF) – “Cherry, boysenberry, quite stony/earthy, with some blue flower perfume and spice. It’s medium-bodied, but quite dense, with tightly packed tannin, some classic meaty Dolcetto character, and a firm dry finish of good length. Love that stony feel here.”
