It's focused and delicious, with juicy Marasca cherry, star anise, clove and mocha flavors framed in taut, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity.” Drink 2026–2036
95 Points, 5 star rating - Huon Hooke – “Medium to full red colour with brick and purple tinges. The bouquet shows development and savoury leathery notes but not so much primary fruit. The wine is fleshy, rich and slightly chocolaty in the mouth. Some vanilla from oak. The tannins are big and firm, mouth-coating and dry, but in balance with the flavour. Traces of licorice. 95 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front - “Dried flowers, cherry, ripe strawberry, spicy biscuits, aniseed and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, plush and well-rounded, ample red fruit, a smattering of dried herb, smooth suede tannin, a restrained succulence, and long ripe finish. It’s a very good showing here, with more to come: its puppy fat will stand it in good stead.”

Lots of concentrated cherry fruit on the nose with a hint of spice and a generous layer of fruit on the palate, yet it is light on its feet at the same time. Elegant, lively and long and with a fine layer of crunchy tannins.
