2020 Mark Haisma Morey-St-Denis 1er cru Les Chaffots

93-95 Points, 5 Stars - Jasper Morris - "5 barrels made of this regular Haisma favourite. 60-70% stems have been incorporated. Intense mid purple. The nose is absolutely beautiful here. The spice element is perfectly judged, as is the ripeness of the fruit. This is hauntingly beautiful, with the stems coming up behind. The sensuality is here without over ripeness, magical stuff. Just a few darker notes at the back to add to the complexity.

90-92 Points, Galloni (Neal Martin) - "The 2020 Morey-St-Denis 1er cru Les Chaffots is well defined on the nose touches of rose petal fusing with the well-defined red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, taut and fresh with a lightly spiced, almost Chambolle-like finish."
