2021 Rivulet Priory Pinot Noir
“Pitch-perfect, effortless, tight-enough, beautiful spice-shot tannin, plenty of length. Varietal fruit flavours with an undercurrent of undergrowth and assorted herbs. Unforced complexity is the way of this wine. There’s nothing ‘show pony’ about this, and that of course is a good thing.”

Grown by David and Julie Llewellyn at the Priory Ridge vineyard, located between St Helens and Binalong Bay on the north east coast of Tasmania. 114/115 clone Pinot Noir grown on Devonian granite soil. Handpicked fruit was destemmed to an open top fermenter with gentle pump overs to extract fine, soft tannins. Pressed off just before dryness and racked to French oak for ten months maturation on fine lees, with 40% new oak.
Total production 690 bottles.
