95+ Points, Gary Walsh – “Spicy, meaty and perfumed, sweet earthiness, blue fruit or boysenberry, squishy strawberry. Medium-bodied, very tight and minerally, spicy and meaty, stony graphite tannin, very ‘of the earth’, with a dry and spicy finish of great length. Touch and go for 96 points, really.”

91-93 Points, Neal Martin – “The 2018 Morey Saint-Denis Les Chaffots 1er Cru has a floral bouquet with wild roses and a touch of iris filtering through the red berry fruit. It gains intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, the 60–70% whole bunch lending a welcome pepperiness. This is finely structured with freshness from start to sapid finish. Give it a couple of years and it will drink well for more than a decade.”

91-94 Points, Jasper Morris – “Two thirds whole bunch. Fine bright medium purple, this is lively and classy, floral with a white pepper infusion from the stems. A few future rose petals. A sweet natured airy wine with a nice bit of chocolate at the back. Straight on the rocks.”

96 Points, Sarah Marsh – “Two thirds whole bunch. Fine bright medium purple, this is lively and classy, floral with a white pepper infusion from the stems. A few future rose petals. A sweet natured airy wine with a nice bit of chocolate at the back. Straight on the rocks.”
