2017 La Palazzina Bramaterra
Very limited 6 bottle limit sorry.
95+ Points, Gary Walsh – “Wonderful perfume here. It’s all violet, cool mint, liquorice, with red cherry and blackcurrant, with a subtle spicy and volcanic rock thing going on. Medium-bodied, tight acidity and tannin, stony too, with some juicy orange and red fruits, and a long firm finish, all rocks and herbs and fragrance. Should age beautifully.” Drink 2023-2034+
The 2017 Bramaterra comes from volcanic soil in Camino in the commune of Roasio.
The cepage is 80% Nebbiolo, 12% Croatina, 5% Vespolina, 3% Uva Rara. Aged for 24 months in old large Slavonian botti. And then further for 12 months in bottle before release.
It’s a red fruited offering that tips the scales at a mere 13% alcohol. A wine punctuated by its minerality and balsamic notes. Very ageworthy in fact 20+ years.
